On arrival, the lady at the hotel desk confirmed my info and reservation and the amount. The man who answered the number given on the screen was friendly and said there would be an extra $10 fee for the dog. I chose Harbor view which was just a few miles from the restaurant we were at. The list in the city was just two choices. On a day trip with our lab, we decided to spend the night so I googled dog friendly hotels half moon bay. We will recommend it to friends and stay there when in HMB.… Staff was fabulous!! Except for the thin walls we cannot say enough good things about Harbor View Inn. They do have fruit and packaged muffins for breakfast there but with Press right next door you have options. You are welcome to use the machine to fill up your water bottles.
There's another machine with Orange Juice, Apple Juice, Cranberry Juice and Water.
HALF MOOM HOTEL FULL
The lobby of the Inn has a coffee machine - my husband did an espresso with an americano on top for his full cup of coffee. Easy walk to Half Moon Bay Brewing Co, JettyWave Distillery, Barbar's Fishtrap, Sam's Chowder House and so many more. Great breakfast/lunch place right next door - think homemade bagels/pastry, grilled cheese, coffee - The Press. Perfect location! Right across the street from Pillar Point/Maverick Beach/Fitzgerald Marine Refuge. The walls are kind of thin so we could hear our neighbors coughing/talking but it really was not a big deal. When we did that we could not hear any noise from the cars at all.
HALF MOOM HOTEL WINDOWS
The Inn is right off of Rt1 and the car noise was very loud so we ended up closing the windows and putting the AC on. They really did a nice job with the renovation! It was cool at night so we left the windows open to sleep. Bathroom has a nice new shower w/ barn door style opening, slow close toilet seats so they don't slam down, nice vanity and sink. The beds and pillows are clean and comfortable - 4 king size pillows that don't shrink down to nothing when you put your head down like the ones at my recent Hyatt stay did.
The rooms aren't huge but comfortable fit the king size bed, small table with 2 comfy chairs and built in dresser/counter which include a mini fridge and a microwave. We LOVED it! Skeptical upon arrival because it is a small, older motel but it has been completely renovated. My husband and I spent 2 nights at Harbor View Inn over Labor Day weekend 2022.
